*I’ve been writing whilst off-grid. Amature move is putting the words in an email rather than a word document. Autosave apparently didn’t work. It’s a shame as I had some pretty good flows. Keeping tabs on my emotional processing as I move through this road trip has been a priority. The Universe obviously wants toContinue reading “Recalibrate and DEFINE a new normal.”
Oftentimes, I receive ‘random’ messages from people in my social network. They compliment my bravery to share my story of domestic violence. They confess my vulnerability created space for them to also be vulnerable. They adopt some of my healthy habits in their life. The sky is the limit on comments that slide into myContinue reading “5 Principles for Self-Care”
“Self-discipline is self-love.” My mornings are sacred. I spend time welcoming the sun, writing some words, making a phenomenal breakfast… or just allowing myself space to dance around my head (a majority of my day is dancing in my heart so time to dance in my head is quite special. I’m spending a week withContinue reading “Self-discipline is self-love”
The more time I spend taking care of myself, the more miracles that start to present themselves. Today is Monday. It’s my day to flop around. My self-care day. Typically, I do not pee-arrange anything or confirm appointments. I get lost in the flow. Consciously, one of the harshest criticisms is I have control issues.Continue reading “Self-Care leads to Universal Magic”
Dear Jess, It’s been a long minute but I need to share something. I’m sorry. I’m sorry for putting others before you for so long. I’m sorry for a lotContinue reading “Making amends with myself”
My dreams are getting active once again. It’s a sign of alignment between my consciousness and subconsciousness. Rather than focus on what happened in the dream, I spent a few minutes observing how I was feeling. What was I still holding onto? Who was the teacher offering me a valuable lesson? And more importantly, whatContinue reading “Healthy Boundaries IS Self Care”
Every once in a while, I connect with a pure soul. Lumpy bits but pure in every single capacity. The pureness is with the looks, the grabs, the intended and the unintended moments.
I’m not even going to pretend. Most of my life is in autopilot. This has served me well because I cannot remember the last time that I was in normal situations. When greeted with dysfunction, I tighten my ponytail, smile, and navigate the sea like a 70+-year-old sailor. It’s NOT my first rodeo and IContinue reading “My higher self is my best friend”
So many things to say but I’m unable to find the right words. My heart is conflicted on a few levels. The last few weeks, it’s been cluttered with embracing being discarded by my mother, betrayed by my great auntie, emotionally dismissed by my great uncle, criticised by a lover, chased by kindred souls, supported by friends, and… loved by me.
I’ll be the first one to admit most of my conversations are with myself. Sometimes others are present to plant a few seeds and other times, it’s quite simply an exchange between my head and my heart. Sometimes the conversations are via the blog; Sometimes the conversations are getting lost in Jess World; and whenContinue reading “Love is a decision, not an emotion.”
